Nucleus STEM Curriculum

Students within the Nucleus STEM Stream will cover the same curriculum as the rest of their year group but the extended school day allows them to learn STEM related topics in much greater depth. This is done through a comprehensive lecture program as well as six-week modules in topics such as Anatomy and Chemistry.

Students will be targeted at Grade 9 in their GCSEs in the Sciences, Mathematics and Computer Science. Nucleus students will have access to small group peripatetic Music lessons, learning to play an instrument of their choosing.

Nucleus STEM Mathematics Curriculum

Key Stage 3 Mathematics topics are taught to STEM groups by teachers experienced in delivering Mathematics to GCSE and/or A Level. Nucleus students are stretched in lessons to challenge their abilities as mathematicians.
