As part of their enrichment, Nucleus VI students have been regular visitors to St John's Nursing Home in Northampton. The students visit every fortnight and enjoy spending quality time interacting with the residents, through various planned activities or sometimes, just a chat over a cup of tea.
Activities have included a quiz created and ran by the students and more recently they did some pumpkin carving.
The students get a huge sense of fulfillment from the visits and have developed good relationships with the residents, who look forward to the visits.
They are now planning and looking forward to working with the residents on some Christmas activities soon, such as carol singing and card making.
