Feeding Britain's Future Workshop

Feeding Britain's Future Workshop

A group of Year 12 students who are studying STEM-related subjects enjoyed two-hour workshop, “Selling my Skills to a Prospective Employer”.

This was hosted by a specialist facilitator, Richard Alexander as part of a nationwide IDG education programme, Feeding Britain's Future, that informs and inspires young people about the world of work, helping to build their employability skills.

The students took part in discussions and activities; hearing first-hand advice from assisting industry professionals Nicola Murray & John Bower, who are currently employed in STEM-related roles in the food and grocery industry. The group gained a greater understanding of the relevance of STEM subjects in the workplace and the pathways into these roles.
