Lego League Robot Competition

Lego League Robot Competition

During January, our Year 7 and YEAR 9 Nucleus STEM students attended the First Lego League Competition, which took place in Corby.

Both teams worked really hard throughout the day constantly demonstrating our core values. The day included three presentations discussing the design of their robot, the importance of values within a team environment and the innovation project. The innovation project encouraged them to look at some of the everyday issues that are occurring in our local community and suggest solutions on how to fix them.

The robotics competition consisted of three rounds, meaning that the teams had opportunities to correct their robot if it wasn’t quite going to plan. During the closing ceremony, the Year 9 students won the award of 'Best Robot Design' and it was truly deserved. Both teams took a lot from this competition and had a fantastic day.
