Year 10 Students Attend IRIS Conference

A group of Year 10 students attended an IRIS conference in London to showcase their research project on the effects of varying water sources on the growth and reproduction of common duckweed (lemniodeae). They watched other student researchers present their various projects and confidently answer challenging questions and were even treated to a panel of uni researchers who shared their journeys into STEM.

Our students had a chance to share their findings with a researcher from the Open University, who congratulated them on their ability to succinctly communicate a complex problem. Overall, the day was informative and fun, and the students are enthusiastic about continuing their research with IRIS.
